is no joke, no gimmick, and no current flash-in-the-pan musical
trend being followed. White Lily
is simply straight ahead, honest rock and roll. With an extensive
collection of covered material, White
Lily show some older songs to a younger audience
while they also present younger material to an older crowd.
Classic rock and Gen-X soundtrack is what you will witness.
Maybe some things that you have not heard in a while or maybe
you just plain forgot about...

Lily came to be in January of 2002 when vocalist
Sara Moore, bassist John Walton and guitarist Caleb Peterman
picked up a drummer and began arranging the songs that they
had been writing during the previous year. Then in February,
guitarist Joe Francis, long time jam-mate and friend of the
band, joined the cause and helped to thicken the guitar-driven
sound in which they were honing. In March, at their second gig
ever, White Lily won
a Battle of the Bands in Mount Vernon, OH. In May when their
drummer abruptly quit, new drummer Brian Dorsey was recruited
in a hurry and the band pulled off a flawless four hour show
despite the fact that Brian had only played six songs with the
band at an open mic night just two days before the gig. He fit
well and everything began to fall into place.

in July, White Lily
entered the studio at Creekside Audio to cut their first 3-song
demo, giving their fan base a little something to take home
and a sample of what they can produce musically to present to
the "Big People". White Lily
are a self-contained band, writing all of their original material
themselves, which is a blend of catchy hooks, driving rock and
flowing dynamics. Fronted by the powerful alto voice of Sara
Moore, backed by the steady rhythms laid down by John and Brian
and finessed by guitarist Joe and Caleb, White
Lily command the attention without demanding
it as they are a real rock and roll powerhouse.

music of White Lily
cannot be compared to anything else that is currently out there,
yet it is still a melting pot of everything that they listen
to. A little rock, a little pop and a little punk. Their music
is hard enough for the rock fan and catchy enough for the pop
fan. So whatever one's taste may be, White
Lily will surely capture their audience's attention
if only to postpone mortality for a minute or two. There is
an energy and a presence that they emit while performing to
an audience. They are in this business for the long haul and
hope to make it their business by expressing their creativity
through meaningful, honest lyrics, captivating music and their
emotional performance. .
